One of the most common questions that we get as a couple is "How did you both meet?" It is also one of our most favorite stories to share as well!

As most relationships do, we first met each other through mutual friends. Although at the time neither one of us knew that we would end up together, we found ourselves at several social gatherings over the course of a couple years. As friends sometimes do, people went seperate ways and neither of us expected to see each other again...

Sure enough a couple years passed by and each of us lived our seperate lives. However, one fateful day we found ourselves together again at a local concert in Vineland, New Jersey. Shawn was there to see Innercore, a band with members he knew throughout High School. Ashley was there with her long time friend (and Maid of Honor) Sara Nesheim to see Days Like These, a band they also knew members in. We quickly caught each others eyes and struck up conversation. After some much needed catch up, we spent the rest of the night with friends and a LOT of Forrest Gump.

We officially started dating on May 2nd, 2006. The rest, as they say, is history.
