Boston has always been a place that we consider special. We have been there several times during our relationship, the first time being only a month after we had started dating in spring of 2006. During this first time, Shawn took me for a walk in the park to spend some alone time just to talk and get to get to know each other. It was so romantic and I playfully said it would be the perfect place to get engaged.

On July 3, 2009, Shawn took me on a trip to Boston to celebrate my graduation from Nursing school. We arrived, checked into the hotel, and made our way across the park to have dinner at the infamous Cheers. We had such a great dinner. Then after dinner, we went back through the park. We were talking and taking pictures then after a few minutes, we stopped and I recognized exactly where we were. In front of the very same bench with the very same skyline view of the city where we had had the engagement conversation 3 years back. Next thing I can remember Shawn got down on one knee and proposed. I couldnt have asked for a better night. There were even two swans in the lake! ...and of course, you know what my answer was <3.
